Have you ever wondered what to do with all of the left over baby food jars or other small jars that you have received from here and there? Well, here are some very cute ideas for them.. all made by my friend Eileen!
Directions:
Use Delta's White Frost Etched glass effect on the jars to frost them if you want them frosted, or Krylon Frost for Windows.
Sponge 2 coats on them or spray two coats of Krylon frost for windows, allowing to dry before the second coat regardless of which method you use. The spray should be used in an open, airy place so because it does have a smell to it.
Print off a graphic you like (and that fits the jar) and use laminating paper to adhere to the jar or use your Xyron to laminate it. You can also print it on full sheet label paper and put laminate or duck laminate over it. Then stick it on the jar, add a ribbon, some greenery, wire etc and a tea light and you are all set.
The jar on the left has the flat style marbles glued onto the jar, and the one on the right is filled with Candy.
Hoard the jars. find them at garage sales, etc !! I hear Gerber is going to square plastic jars soon.
The wire is 19 gauge black wire from the hardware store. I used 15" for the larger size jar. Make it into a U shape and bring around the jar. Then "twist tie it on. Do two on each jar. make one wire go upwards and one down. Add a few beads (think they are called e beads ...larger than seed beads) before you twist the wire...Then just take some jewelry pliers and roll it in. (you do need the pliers to make the first few bends. Or use your fingers.
